My favorite holiday of the year has passed and the past few days I have been giving some thought as to the difference between independence and freedom. Which is more important to you? Working with the violet flame has allowed me to truly understand the difference between the two.
Independence is when you are no longer being influenced by someone or something else. Freedom is when you are no longer bound by constraints. You can have independence without having freedom, but if you experience true freedom you will experience independence because even those attempting to exert control over you will go unnoticed.
